Neurontin

Neurontin is used in seizures treatment. It is also prescribed to treat neuropatic pains and herpes zoster infection pain.

Do not start of stop using Neurontin without your doctor's approval. Do not stop taking this drug even if you feel better. You should strictly follow the directions of your medical specialist and not to take less or more than prescribed dose. Notify your doctor of having any special medical conditions, including pregnancy or breast-feeding.

Neurontin may be taken with or without food. It is recommended to store this medicine in cool and dark place at a room temperature. Try not to miss your regular dose. Do not double-up your regular dose. If you miss your dose, wait until time for next dose comes.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. Taking Neurontin may affect the ability to drive and perform other potentially dangerous activities. Neurontin is not recommended to pregnant and nursing women. Components of this drug may pass to breast milk and affect newborn. Do not overdose. Do not take this medicine more often than prescribed by your medical specialist. Taking Neurotin may affect fetus. It is recommended to abstain from using this medicine for the period of pregnancy and nursing baby. Consult a medical specialist if you are planning to become pregnant.

Taking Neurontin may result in side effects listed below. Contact your medical specialist if any of side effects occurred.

• dizziness
• tremor
• dry mouth
• drowsiness
• changes in appetite
• upset stomach
• back pain
• changes in vision
• trouble speaking
• memory loss
• decreased coordination

Overdose may result in slurred speech, drowsiness, diarrhea or double vision. Apply for emergency help in your local poison control center in case if overdose intake occurred.

Contact your medical specialist if this medicine doesn't work. Do not give your medicine to someone else whom it is not prescribed. Keep this drug away from children and pets.
