Adalat

Adalat is used for high blood pressure treatment. It works as calcium channel blocker and decreases blood pressure. Sometimes it is prescribed for other conditions (e.g. angina) treatment.

Consult your medical specialist before taking Adalat. Discuss all the details of this medicine and risk possibilities. Notify your doctor of having any medical conditions like pregnancy, breast-feeding, allergy or stricture.

It is recommended to follow the prescriptions of your medical specialist. Do not take this medicine more often or increase your daily dose. Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking Adalat. This medicine should be stored in dry cold place at a room temperature. Try not to miss your regular dose. Do not double your regular dose. Wait until the time of your next Adalat dose if you missed your regular dose.

Warning for women: Consult a doctor if you are planning to become pregnant. Discuss with your doctor all the possible risks and harms.

Never stop or start taking Adalat without your medical specialist's approval. Using this medicine may cause swelling of gums. Brush and floss your teeth while taking Adalat. Sometimes taking this medicine may result in dizziness, so you should keep away from driving a car and performing some other potentially dangerous activities. Notify your doctor of any other taken prescription or non-prescription drugs.

Taking Adalat may sometimes cause the following side effects:

• headache
• dizziness
• unusual weakness
• flushing
• nausea
• heartburn
• lightheadedness
• tender
• bleeding
• swollen gums
• irregular pulse
• shortness of breath
• swollen feet/hands

Contact your medical specialist as far as you noticed the signs of these or any other side affects to avoid dangerous consequences.

Adalat overdose may result in rapid or slow heartbeat, fainting and dizziness. Apply for emergency care or contact your medical specialist if overdose occurred.

Contact your medical specialist if this medicine doesn't work. Do not give your medicine to someone else for whom it is not prescribed. Keep this drug away from children and pets.
