Coreg

Coreg is used in hypertension and heart failure treatment. Sometimes it is prescribed for some other purposes.

Consult your medical specialist if you take any of the medicals listed below:

• cimetidine
• decongestants
• flecaininde
• hydralazine
• insulin
• mefloquine
• verapamil
• repaglinide
• indomethacin
• hydralazine

Notify your doctor if you are taking any medicines to treat diabetes or birth control pills.

Do not start or stop using Coreg without your doctor's approval. Tell your doctor if you experienced low heart rate, liver problems, allergy or diabetes. Pregnant or breast-feeding women should ask for the details about possible risk for fetus or newborn.

Coreg should be taken with food. Follow the directions given by your medical specialist. Do not take 2 doses at once if you missed your regular dose. Wait until the time of your next dose intake. Try not to miss daily dose. Do not stop taking Coreg even if you feel much better.

Coreg should be stored in dry cool place at a room temperatue.

Cautions

Sometimes taking of this medicine may result in dizziness, so you should keep away from driving a car and performing some other potentially dangerous activities. Notify your doctor of using any other prescription or over-the-counter medicines, especially drugs for congestion and colds treatment. You may need to check your blood pressure and blood glucose levels regularly. Pregnant or breast-feeding women need to consult medical specialist before taking Coreg. It is not approved that this medicine is 100% safe for human fetus or newborn baby. Coreg may pass to breast milk and affect newborn.

Possible side effects

Contact your medical specialist if you experience any of the side effects listed below:

• dizziness
• heartbeat
• lightheadedness
• diarrhea
• weakness
• change in vision

If you take too much

Coreg overdose may result in severe dizziness, unusual weakness, difficulty breathing or very slow heart rate. Apply for emergency care or contact your medical specialist if overdose occurred.

Additional information

Keep this drug away from the reach of children and pets. Do not give this medicine to others for whom it was not prescribed.
