Coumadin

Used For

Coumadin is used to treat venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. It can be also prescribed to treat some other medical conditions.

Directions

Take Coumadin exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Recommended starting dose is 2-5mg daily. You may need to pass blood test for dose adjustment.

How it works

It is recommended to avoid sports and other activities while treatment. Any injuries may cause internal bleeding. Contact your doctor immediately of any injuries to avoid undesired consequences. Brush teeth and shave carefully to avoid cutting. It is recommended to use electric shave and soft brush. Try to lessen the amount of alcoholic beverages. Drug-alcohol interaction can change Coumadin effect.
