Norvasc

Norvasc is used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain by relaxing blood vessels.

This medicine nay be also used for other conditions treatment if determined by medical specialist.

Consult your medical specialist before using this medicine. Follow strictly the prescriptions of your doctor and do not increase daily dosing. Norvasc should be taken usually once a day. Wash up the tablet with milk or take it with some food in order to avoid upset stomach.

Notify your doctor of having special medical conditions including liver disease, aortic stenosis, hypotension, coronary artery disease, sick sinus syndrome and other conditions. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or nursing baby. First consult to your physician. Norvasc may affect fetus and newborn baby. Ingridients of Norvasc may pass into breast milk and may affect newborn baby. Consult your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant. It is not approved that taking Norvasc is absolutely safe for fetus.

Each dose should be taken at the same time each day. If you miss your dose, wait until time for next dose comes. Never take 2 doses simultaneously. Try not to miss your regular dose.

Consult your doctor, nurse or pharmacist in case of any side effects appearing during using of Novasc. Taking this medicine sometimes may cause severe dizziness, fainting, psychosis, allergic reactions, skin or eyes yellowing. Call your medical specialist if you found the signs of sudden abdominal pain, diarrhea, flushing, headache, fatigue, weakness, nausea or some urination problems. Apply for emergency help if any of side effects listed above bother you in order to avoid dangerous consequences.

Storage

Novasc should be stored at a room temperature not higher than 30°C. Store this medicine in dark place or light-resistant containers.

Overdose

Novasc overdose may cause dizziness, chest pain, weakness, faint, rapid or slow heartbeat, breath difficulties. Sometimes it results in hypotension and tachycardia. Apply for emergency care or contact your medical specialist if overdose occurred.

Notify your doctor of having special medical conditions like heart desease, sick sinus syndrome, hypotension, liver disease, coronary artery disease and other failures. It is strongly recommended to consult a medical specialist before taking Novasc if you are over 65 years of age. Your medical specialist may prescribe you special dosing schedule due to risk of possible side effects.
