Drug Uses

This medicine is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease and ulcers. Sometimes it is prescribed to treat some other conditions connected to acid production of stomach.

How Taken

This medicine is taken orally. Consult your doctor about dosage and frequency of intake. Usually average dose is taken once daily washed down with a glass of water. One tablet contains 20mg of medicine. Do not chew or break the tablet.

Warnings/Precautions

Do not take Aciphex without consulting your medical specialist. Notify your doctor of using other prescription and over-the-counter drugs, including Lanoxin, Sandimmune, Lanoxicaps, Neoral, Principen, Mol-Iron, Femiron, Nizoral, Fergon, Feosol and some other. Drug interactions can cause unwished side effects. Sometimes regular monitoring of your body condition may be required.

Missed Dose

If you missed your regular dose, wait for the next scheduled time to take tablet. Do not take two doses at once. Follow the dosing and intake frequency exactly under the prescription of your doctor.

Possible Side Effects

Contact your medical specialist if any of side effects listed below took place:

• allergic reaction
• headache
• diarrhea
• nervousness
• itching
• rush
• closing of your throat
• difficulty breathing
• upset stomach
• insomnia

Storage

This medicine should be stored in dry place at a room temperature below 86°F. Do not Store Aciphex in bathroom. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Overdose

Get medical care if you have taken more than prescribed quantity of this medicine.

More Information

Do not start or stop using Aciphex without your doctor's approval. Follow the instructions given by your doctor.
