Lotensin

Lotensin is used in high blood pressure treatment as well as some other special conditions when prescribed by medical specialist.

This medicine should be taken carefully if used together with other medicines like indomethacin, clozapine, azathioprine, lithium, diuretics and diabetes treatment drugs. Check the exact dose with your medical specialist. It is not recommended to use Lotensin if you have any allergy. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Consult a doctor if you have had kidney artery narrowing.

Directions

Consult a doctor about the dosing and frequency of intake. If you missed scheduled dose, wait until the time of your next dose intake. Lotensin may be taken with or without food. This drug should be stored in dark and dry place in closed container.

Do not start or stop taking Lotensin without directions of your medical specialist. Stop taking this medicine in case of allergy to any components of Lotensin. Notify your doctor of using this drug before having surgery, medical or dental treatments. Taking this medicine may result in dizziness, fainting or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or performing other potentially dangerous operation while taking Lotensin.

Warning for women: Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or nursing baby. Lotesin may affect fetus and newborn baby. Ingridients of Lotensin pass into breast milk and may result in death of newborn.

Contact your medical specialist if any of side effects listed below took place.

• swelling of body parts
• difficulty swallowing
• stomach pain
• headache
• diarrhea
• dry cough
• dizziness
• lightheadedness
• hives
• slow heartbeat
• chest pain

Overdose may result in weakness and dizziness. Apply for emergency help in your local poison control center in case if overdose intake occurred.

Contact your medical specialist if this medicine doesn't work. Do not give your medicine to someone else. Keep this drug away from children and pets.

Drug interactions may cause side effects or neutralize the treatment. Consult your doctor or pharmacist about the interaction of Lotensin and other prescription and over-the-counter medicines.
