Soma

Soma is used to treat muscle spasms. It helps to relieve pain and discomfort caused by strain and sprain.

Soma is formed in tablets and should be taken orally washed down with milk or taken with food. It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age to use this medicine. Usual dosing is 350mg four times per day.

Notify your doctor of any conditions like pregnancy, breast-feeding, kidney disease, liver disease or acute intermittent porphyria. Do not start taking Soma without directions of your medical specialist.

Each dose should be taken at the same time each day. If you miss your dose, wait until time for next dose comes. Never take 2 doses simultaneously.

Possible Side Effects

Consult to your doctor, nurse or pharmacist in case of any side effects appearing during using of Soma. Possible side effects of taking this medicine are as follows:

• ataxia
• headache
• syncope
• insomnia
• dizziness
• tremor
• vertigo
• skin rush
• fever
• weakness
• smarting eyes
• low blood pressure
• angioneurotic edema

Soma should be stored in tightly closed container at a temperature not higher than 30°C/86°F

Overdose

Overdose may result in unconsciousness, decreased breathing and low blood pressure. Contact emergency room or poison control center in case if overdose taking happened.

More information

This drug may affect ability to drive and perform some other potentially dangerous activities. Sometimes taking Soma causes drowsiness or dizziness. Alcohol may add to the affects of this medicine.
