Diflucan

Diflucan is used to treat vaginal infections in women. It is prescribed to treat cryptococcal meningitis and vaginal candidiasis. Sometimes it is prescribed to patients who experienced chemotherapy.

Average frequency of taking Diflucan is once daily. Consult your medical specialist before using this medicine in order to avoid undesired circumstances. If you take Diflucan in form of liquid make sure to shake it well before each intake. Do not start or stop taking this medicine without directions of your physician or pharmacist. You can also take Diflucan in form of tablet if your medical specialist approves.

Notify your doctor of having any serious health problems like kidney disease or some other medical conditions. Do not take Diflucan together with other medicals without your doctor's approval. Combining this drug with some other drugs may cause dangerous or even fatal consequences. It is not proved that taking Diflucan is absolutely safe for human fetus or newborn baby. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant as well as if you are breast-feeding. Diflucan passes to breast milk and may affect newborn. Do not take this drug if you are breast-feeding.

If you miss your dose, wait until time for next dose comes. Never take 2 doses simultaneously. Try not to miss your regular dose.

Consult your doctor, nurse or pharmacist in case of any side effects appearing during using of Diflucan. Taking this medicine sometimes may cause

• allergy
• hives
• abdominal pain
• urinating problems
• fatigue
• rash
• unusual paleness
• itching
• dizziness
• headache
• diarrhea
• vomiting

Diflucan tablets should be stored at 30°C. Store liquid Diflucane in plastic containers at a temperature about 5-25°C. Do not freeze.

Overdose

Diflucan overdose may cause difficulty breathing, hallucinations, paranoia, confusion, drooling, urinating problems and seizures. Sometimes it results in death. Apply for emergency care or contact your medical specialist if overdose occurred.

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Diflucan. This drug may affect ability to drive and perform some other tasks.
